- Post Office Jobs, Library Journal, 8/1/2003
"This
popular book had been updated and expanded with two additional chapters and
an appendix to provide all the information necessary to land a U. S. Postal
Service position. Perusable and thorough, it covers such topics as
qualification requirements and application procedures, job descriptions
(including professional, administrative, and maintenance positions), a pay
schedule and description of benefits, and information on hiring preferences
for veterans. Over a third of the book is devoted to testing, with realistic
sample exams as well as tips and answer keys. Also included are a chapter on
interviewing and complete list of the 2000 job classifications available
through the postal service, including the occupation code, total number of
positions, and the pay grade. Appendixes include a job hunter's checklist,
lists of corporate positions, and copies of official application forms.
Links are provided for further updates. Recommended for public and community
college libraries."
